Work in progress. Sammatti sauna and honey working space is a timeless wood building in a beautiful spot. overlooking fields and forests and becoming part of well-preserved, protected rustic farm courtyard. The building breaks into two masses, the log sauna being designed higher for the hand forged stove "pönttäkiuas" to function optically. The mass will lower still in becoming years due to natural sinking of the log. The honey working space, a lower mass towards the road, has timber structure. The building utilises craftsmanship and traditional techniques, the log work is by Lauri Kinnunen.
